Let’s be honest here, not only is Echo’s story barely known, it’s a pretty depressing story. This poor woman is forced to cover Zeus’ womanizing ways by distracting Hera and when Hera finds out what’s happening she curses Echo, not Zeus! Then…. Echo falls in love with Narcissus who proceeds to live up to his name. As she watches Narcissus wither way as he stairs into the pond she then withers away into nothing, fading away like a lost voice.
